Join us at LCTW for the internship of a lifetime
At LCTW, our internship program offers a one-of-a-kind experience! You’ll be integrated into our team of wildlife professionals, and your longer-term commitment allows you to take on more responsibility in your role. Conservation is a vast field with many moving parts that must work together, and we’re excited to help you explore how you can make a meaningful impact on Lao conservation during your time here. We welcome interns with a variety of goals and projects, ranging from animal management and veterinary care to community engagement and educational outreach.
Gaining Experience and Making an Impact in Conservation
As an intern at LCTW, we’re committed to helping you achieve your project goals while ensuring you make a significant impact on our work. As you work on your project you will also help care for our wildlife either in our husbandry or veterinary program (depending on your career path).
Just as we expect dedication from our staff, we look for the same qualities in our interns: timeliness, hard work, passion, commitment, and adaptability are key traits we value when selecting candidates. With a minimum commitment of 12 weeks, our interns gain extensive knowledge and take on important responsibilities in caring for wildlife.
We also understand that breaking into the field of conservation can be challenging, especially with financial barriers. To make our program more accessible, we offer a 50% discount on our volunteer fee for interns, opening the door for aspiring conservationists from around the world.
