Wildlife Rescue Hotline
We operate Laos’ only Wildlife Rescue Hotline, accessible free of charge. Anyone who sees wildlife in need of assistance can easily reach us by dialing 1601 or via WhatsApp.
Our wildlife rescue hotline, the only one of its kind in the entire country, offers both locals and tourists a direct way to report wildlife cases across the country. Established in 2019 with funding from the European Union in partnership with the Wildlife Conservation Society, the hotline enables us to collect vital data on wildlife trafficking—information that has never before been centralized in Laos. While not every report leads to a confiscation, each contributes to a more accurate picture of the illegal wildlife trade. These data are instrumental for the government to inform effective resource allocation, aid strategic planning, and access funding to combat wildlife trafficking in Laos.
Every case reported to us is shared with the government for further investigation, ensuring that each tip can contribute to protecting wildlife. We maintain complete anonymity for all reports, so those who report wildlife concerns can feel secure knowing their actions will not lead to any negative repercussions.
If you see something, say something.
